Be the Wise Builder and Do what God’s Word says. Matt 7:24-27
Matt 5-7:
- Be salt and light.
- Do not sin in my anger.
- Do not commit adultery.
- Do not Divorce my spouse.
- Keep my oaths, better just say yes or no.
- Be the peacemaker.
- Love my Enemies.
- Be Generous.
- Pray – have a continual relationship with you.
- Fast.
- Store my treasures in Heaven.
- Do not worry.
- Do not Judge others.
- Ask, Seek, Knock – In everything pray. (Seek=believe, Ask=pray, Knock=keep praying)
- In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.
- Do not be deceived by false teachers, know the truth.
Titus 3: (Do What is Good)
- To slander no one. (Speak no evil)
- To be peaceable and considerate.
- Show true humility toward all men.
- To be obedient to Government. Be a good citizen.
James 1:19-27:
- Quick to listen, Slow to speak, Slow to become angry.
- Keep tight rein on tongue.
- Do what the Word says – blessed in all he does.
Romans 12:12-21:
- Be joyful in Hope, Patient in affliction, Faithful in prayer.
- Practice Hospitality.
- Bless those who persecute you and do not curse.
- Live in harmony with one another.
- Do not be proud – willing to associate with people of low position.
- Do not be conceited (vain).
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Do not pay anyone evil for evil.
- Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
- Live at peace with everyone.
- Do not take revenge – but leave room for God’s wrath!
1 Corinthians 13: (Love = Activity and Behavior)
- Be Patient, Kind, Do not envy, Do not Boast, Not Rude, Not Self-Seeking, Not easily Angered, keep no records of wrongs, Rejoice with the Truth, Always Protects, Trusts, Hopes, Perseveres. Never fails.
- Follow the way of love and eagerly desire the spiritual gifts especially the gift of prophecy.
- Need Christlike love and righteousness.
- Does no harm to others, Perseveres in loyalty to Christ and His Word. (The Christian Faith)
Ephesians 5:
- Be imitators of God. Live a life of love.
- Don’t be foolish but understand what the Lord’s Will is.
- Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
- Love Bever just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.
Micah 6:1-8:
- Act justly, Love mercy, Walk humbly with your God.
Psalm 15:2: (Integrity)
- The person on integrity , the one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks truth from his heart.
Psalm 147:11: The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.
Col 3:17:
- Whatever you do, whether word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
- Let peace rule in my heart, be thankful, Forgive as the Lord forgave me.
- Put on love, bear with each other and forgive.
- Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience.
Psalm 139:23-24:
- Search me, O God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
1 Peter 5:6-11:
- Humble yourself, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Matthew 6:33:
- Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, Do not worry about tomorrow.
Always pray before planning, Always love people more than things, Do all things to please God.
Matthew 7:14: (Narrow gate)
- Enter the humble gate of true repentance and deny myself to follow Jesus, sincerely endeavor to obey His commands, earnestly seek His kingdom and His righteousness and persevere until the end in true faith, purity and love.
1 Kings 3:12:
- I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart…
Ephesians 5:1-32:
- As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
- Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
- Put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
- “In your anger do not sin”, Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
- Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
- Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
2 Peter 1:3-10:
- Make every effort to add to your faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love.
- For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For if you do these things, you will never stumble and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5:22-26:
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Romans 12:19:
- Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,
- “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.
Psalms 19:12-14:
- But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.
- Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
- May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12:
- Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and work to with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
Philippians 4:4-8:
- Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
- 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
- 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- 8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
2 Corinthians 5:7:
- I will walk by faith, not by sight!
Hebrew 3:13:
- But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Psalms 34:1:
- I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 118:28-29:
- 28You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. 29Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
